As accurate as the subtitles themselves. Author-written ones are usually exact. Auto-generated ones handle clear speech well and miss names, jargon and crosstalk, so check a quote against the video before publishing it.

On a computer, expand the description under the video and look for Show transcript. It shows up only when the video has subtitles, and on a phone it is buried deeper.
